Fellowship Knowledge course

Welcome to the Monash ED  fellowship knowledge course (FEK)
This course runs for 12 months and can be joined 4 times a year
Sessions run for 2 hours most weeks during Wednesday on line teaching 1000 - 1200.
Questions are sourced from older style SAQ's and are distributed the week prior to the session with the expectation that registrars attempt the questions prior to the session.

INFORMATION

 When can I join the course? The course runs for 12 months and aims to ensure you have all of the knowledge required to join the Fellowship written course which focuses exclusivity on technique for the FEW. Trainees planning external rotations in the terms prior to the written are invited to join the course up to 18 months prior to the 6 month FEW course When considering the timing of your Fellowship written consider the following are you TS2/3 are you TR or SR do you have time and resources to commit 5 - 10 hours per week to exam prep If yes to all of the about - discuss with family/supports, DEMT, mentor. When do you plan to sit Fellowship written and when to join a preparation course:_ 2025.2 written FEW 2025 term 2 2026.1 written FEK any time 2025 FEW term 4 2025 2026.2 written FEK from term 2 2025 (earlier if planned external rotations) FEW term 2 2026 2027.1 written FEK term 4 2026 (earlier if planned external rotations) FEW term 4 2026 2027.2 written FEK term 2 2026 (earlier if external rotations planned) FEW term 2 2027
Course Enrollment and Timing When can I join the course?
The course runs over 12 months and is designed to ensure you acquire the foundational knowledge required before commencing the Fellowship Written Course (FEW), which focuses exclusively on exam technique. Trainees planning external rotations in the terms prior to the FEW course are encouraged to join up to 18 months in advance to optimise preparation time. Key Considerations Before Enrolling
When planning for the Fellowship Written Exam, consider the following: Are you currently in TS2 or TS3? Are you a Training Registrar (TR) or Senior Registrar (SR)? Can you consistently commit 5–10 hours per week to exam preparation? If you answered yes to all the above, we recommend discussing your plans with your family/support network, DEMT, and mentor.
