  •  External cardiac pacing
  •  Pericardiocentesis
  • • Defibrillation / DC Cardioversion
  • • External Chest Compressions – Adult, child or infant
  • • Insertion of temporary pacing wire
  • • Newly born resuscitation
  • • Resuscitative thoracotomy
  • • Vascular access – Arterial Line insertion
  • • Vascular access – Central venous
  • • Vascular access – Central venous – Ultrasound guided
  • • Vascular access – Intraosseous
  • • Vascular access – Large bore intravenous: ≥ 14G /
  • Insertion of a rapid infusion catheter
  • • Vascular access – Paediatric venous access: age
  • <two-year-old
  • • Vascular access – Paediatric venous access: aged
  • between two and 15 years old
  • • Vascular access – Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter
  • (PICC)

Essential Emergency Medicine skills
CIRCULATION 

4 different EEM per year

  •  Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
  • Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA)
  • Initiation of Automated
  • External Cardiac Pressure (AECP)
  • Escharotomy
  •  Ice water cardioversion
  •  PPH management including use of uterine balloon
  • tamponade
  • Fluids – Rapid infusion (pump giving sets, pressure bags, blood warmer)
